SOON is the native token of a modular Layer 2 ecosystem designed to scale the adoption of blockchain technology through high-performance execution, interoperability, and decentralised governance. It underpins SOON Mainnet, an Ethereum-settled Layer 2 powered by a decoupled Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), and the SOON Stack, which enables the deployment of SVM-based rollups across any Layer 1. Through InterSOON, a cross-chain messaging protocol built on Hyperlane, the token supports seamless interaction between chains. $SOON is used for network governance, transaction fees, staking, and to incentivise ecosystem contributors.
